Since the movie is coming out in a few days I’m wondering if there’s people that actually used to watch the original cartoons.
I was really little when they were on, like 3 or 4, but my cousin taped them so when I was a bit older I watched the tapes…
Has there been any transformer cartoons besides those or is the movie the first transformer thing since then??
I have all seasons on dvd and the original movie. I also have many of the toys still in the box from the 80s – nerd I know

Vox TB35C1 Tony Bruno Designed Combo Guitar Tube Amplifier – 1×12 $1199 In collaboration with legendary American boutique amp designer Tony Bruno, VOX has taken a trip into new tonal territory with the TB35C1 & TB35C2 guitar amplifiers, featuring an all-tube, Tony Bruno design. First, Tony personally built and hand-wired a prototype that met his uncompromising standards. This amp would be used as a benchmark that we were able to continually reference throughout the project. After our initial evaluation, we at VOX R&D made a replica of the unit using a PCB design instead of Tony’s usual hand-wired method. We then unleashed Tony onto the new sample and allowed him to modify and add new features to suit his taste. After many rigorous voicing sessions with Tony, it was agreed we had something that not only shared the same excellent tonal quality of the original unit, but also included features that would otherwise be impossible to create without the use of VOX R&D’s modern development and production resources. These TB35C1 and TB35C2 amplifiers are the result of this uncompromising collaboration between VOX R&D and Tony Bruno. Despite their British VOX pedigree, the TB35C1 & TB35C2 amplifiers have a decidedly American feel, thanks to Tony’s influence and design. The all-tube chassis features a quartet of 6V6 power tubes, known for their smooth and clean high end, creamy mids, big bass, and for their rich "breakup" when overdriven. The preamp stage is driven by three 12AX7 preamp tubes, plus an additional 12AX7 paired with a 12AT7 tube to drive the reverb unit. For three years we worked day and night to deliver the sound and feel of our legendary Dual and Triple Rectifier® stacks…direct to tape. All this time we watched a digital parade of "me-too modeling toys" try to seduce you. But we chose an alternative approach to modeling…it’s called REALITY. In a classic guitar recording, what you hear is the sound of a tube pre-amp feeding a tube power amp, driving a speaker. Note that a tube amp and speaker share a magic and complex relationship because each affects the other as they constantly respond to changes in frequency and volume. And don’t forget, the cabinet also affects how the speaker moves as it pushes air at the microphone, reacting with the ambient characteristics of the room. Got all that? Now let’s try to recreate this process -sound and feel – leaving out everything except the pre-amp. Ouch! You can see why we almost gave up. We’re not exactly sure how it works or even how we did it…only that we were determined to stuff a Recto® Stack in a two-space rack. And we didn’t stop ’til it was over the top. If you want to be like the original, why not start with the original. And in fact we used the exact same parts and circuitry – making it killer for live too. Then we added extra recording tubes, six in total, five custom transformers, a gang of tuned inductors and our thirty years of tone-questing experience to duplicate on tape not just the sound – but the addictive feel of a Recto® stack mic’ed up in a great room.
