How can I display my comic books?
I have a rather large collection of comic books. They are all in sleeves and packed away in their various boxes. They currently take up all the space in one of my spare rooms to a point where you can not walk in the room. By guess, there are at least 5,000 single comics. I wanted to display them in the room so people could actually walk in and look at them, but I have no idea how to do it. Any ideas?

Comic Books $93.99 A comic book (often shortened to simply comic and sometimes called a funny book, comic paper or comic magazine) is a magazine made up of narrative artwork, often accompanied by dialog (usually in word balloons, emblematic of the comic book artform) and often including brief descriptive prose. The first comic book appeared in the United States of America in 1934, reprinting the earlier newspaper comic strips, which established many of the storytelling devices used in comics today. The term comic book arose because the first comic books reprinted humor comic strips, but despite their name, comic books do not necessarily operate in humorous mode; most modern comic books tell stories in a variety of genres. The Japanese and European comic book markets demonstrate this clearly. In the United States the superhero genre dominates the market, even though other genres also exist. Gothic and the Comic $100 Although Gothic writing is now seen as significant for an understanding of modernity, it is still largely characterized as a literature of fear and anxiety. Gothic and the Comic Turn argues that, partly through its desire to be taken seriously, Gothic criticism has neglected the comic doppelganger that has always inhabited the Gothic mode and which in certain texts emerges as dominant. Tracing an historical trajectory from the late Romantic period through to the present day, this book examines how varieties of comic parody and appropriation have interrogated the complexities of modern subjectivity. |

Comic Opera $90.81 Comic opera, or light opera, denotes a sung dramatic work of a light or comic nature, usually with a happy ending. Forms of comic opera first developed in late 17th century Italy. By the 1730s, a new operatic genre, opera buffa, emerged as an alternative to opera seria. It quickly made its way to France, where it became opra bouffon, and eventually, in the following century, French operetta, with Jacques Offenbach as its most accomplished practitioner. Both the Italian and French forms were major artistic exports to other parts of Europe. Many countries developed their own genres of comic opera, incorporating the Italian and French models along with their own musical traditions. Examples include Viennese operetta, German singspiel, Spanish zarzuela, Russian comic opera, English ballad opera, and Savoy Opera. Comic Bonbon $74.88 High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles Comic BonBon was a monthly Japanese manga magazine published by Kodansha and targeted at elementary school boys. Each issue had 700+ pages, with 80 of them being fullcolor advertisements. Similar to its rival CoroCoro Comic, it featured tieins with game makers and toy makers but toward the end of its run had less of that. The first issue was published in October 15, 1981. Mobile Suit Gundam was extremely popular at that time. Although the Gundam boom is centered at the higher age group, the fire slowly spread to the lower age group in the form of gunpla and thus it was decided to mainly publish gunpla content. Many popular series were published in Comic BonBon like the SD Gundam series, Rockman series and Medarot series, just to name a few. Author: Miller, Frederic P./ Vandome, Agnes F./ McBrewster, John Binding Type: Paperback Number of Pages: 96 Publication Date: 2010/10/08 Language: English Dimensions: 9.02 x 5.98 x 0.23 inches |

Comic Potential $14.31 A sci-fi comedy thriller, "Comic Potential" is a play set in the foreseeable future, when everything has changed–except human nature "Comic Potential" is set in a television studio in the near future, where the director–an alcoholic has-been–and two assistants are making a daytime soap opera of the usual appalling sort. However, the difference here is that they are using actoids–robots programmed to act–and there are no scriptwriters. Into this situation comes the idealistic Adam, the nephew of the millionaire station owner, who wants to write comedy of the quality that Chaplin and Keaton once embodied. But when Adam falls in love with Jaycee Triplethree (JC333), one of the actoids on the show, everything is turned upside down as she grows more human and the line between actoid and human diminishes. When in anguish Jaycee finally cries that she can’t say anything she hasn’t been programmed to say, Adam points out that no one ever says anything original anyway. |

Sneaker Comic $68.51 High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles Comics, via the Latin c micus is a graphic medium in which images are utilized in order to convey a sequential narrative; the term, derived from massive early use to convey comic themes, came to be applied to all uses of this medium including those which are far from comic. It is the sequential nature of the pictures, and the predominance of pictures over words, that distinguish comics from picture books, though there is some overlap between the two media. Most comics combine words with images, often indicating speech in the form of word balloons, but pantomime strips, such as The Little King, are not uncommon. Words other than dialogue, captions for example, usually expand upon the pictures, but sometimes act in counterpoint. Author: Surhone, Lambert M./ Timpledon, Miriam T./ Marseken, Susan F. Comic Novel $121.08 High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles A comic novel is a work of fiction in which the writer seeks to amuse the reader, sometimes with subtlety and as part of a carefully woven narrative; sometimes, above all other considerations. One of the most notable British comic novelists is P. G. Wodehouse, whose work follows on from that of Jerome K. Jerome and George Weedon Grossmiths Diary of a Nobody. Nor can Sakis work be ignored, although his career was cut short by World War I. A. G. Macdonell and G. K. Chesterton also produced flights of whimsy that delighted their reading audiences in their day. Henry Fieldings The History of Tom Jones, a Foundling, was a notable mid18th century work in the genre. Other, more contemporary UK authors of this kind include Tom Sharpe, Kingsley Amis, Terry Pratchett, Richard Gordon, Ian Ross, Douglas Adams, Evelyn Waugh, Eric Sykes, Leslie Thomas, Stephen Fry, Mike Harding, Joseph Connolly, and Ben Elton. Author: Surhone, Lambert M./ Tennoe, Mariam T./ Henssonow, Susan F. Binding Type: Paperback Number of Pages: 214 Publication Date: 2010/08/14 Language: English Dimensions: 6.00 x 9.02 x 0.49 inches |

Comic Business $170 Combining textual analysis with semiotic approaches developed in Theatre Studies, this book looks at Aristophanic comedy not as texts to be read but as scripts intended and designed for performance. It allies close discussion of selected plays and scenes with broader questions of genre, textual authenticity, and re-performance. – ;Comic Business situates Aristophanic comedy in the context of competitive (re)performance culture in 5th- and 4th-century Greece. It seeks to illuminate how the dazzling busyness of Aristophanic comedy is the creation of a carefully manipulating craftsman trying to outdo his rivals in the fierce competition of the dramatic festivals. Theoretically informed by theatre semiotics and frame-based models of conceptualizing the theatrical event, it analyses in a number of case. studies how theatrical resources of all kinds are utilized in order to generate theatrical meaning as well as capture and sustain audience interest. The approach therefore combines philological analysis with methodologies developed in Theatre Studies. Special attention is given to the visual dimension of. theatrical communication. Material from comparator traditions is brought to bear, as is the evidence of the pictorial record. – ;Revermann's book is certainly one of the most significant studies of Old Comedy to appear in decades, – Ralph M. Rosen, University of Pennsylvania;…a coherent and engaging discussion of Aristophanic comedy in performance. In this, Revermann offers a crisp presentation of familiar issues, while carrying the debate forward in new directions. – Zachary Biles, Classical Journal |

Shakespeares Rhetoric of Comic Character $66.9 First published in 1985. In this revisionist history of comic characterization, Karen Newman argues that, contrary to received opinion, Shakespeare was not the first comic dramatist to create selfconscious characters who seem lifelike or realistic. His comic practice is firmly set within a comic tradition which stretches from Plautus and Menander to playwrights of the Italian Renaissance. Author: Newman, Karen Binding Type: Paperback Number of Pages: 168 Publication Date: 2008/10/06 Language: English Dimensions: 5.50 x 8.50 x 0.36 inches |
