May an Army sergeant (E-5) have a roommate in the barracks?

I’ve been scanning through AR 210-50 and can’t seem to find the answer in there.

Yes a E-5 can be assigned a roommate.

An E-9 can be assigned a roommate.

Now does it actually happen, not very often.

They are trying to go to single rooms for everyone.

But some Post, have limited barracks space, so people get roommates.

Regulations aren’t gonna help you.

Actually even if it was in a Regulation, the post commander can override that regulation.

Regulations are only there to advise Commanders, not to tell them what they have to do.
